- Deadline for submissions: 2024-07-14 23:59:59 CET (Bern time)
- Language: the talk and slides must be in English.
- Duration: Talk is 25 minutes, so make sure you keep it short and sweet!

Submission topics
The main topic is cybersecurity and any topic goes: reverse engineering, application security, digital forensics, incident response, threat intelligence, hardware exploitation. Your talk should be max 25 minutes long to give the audience the opportunity to ask questions.
Our industry is full of experienced speakers who give great talks. But we also like to have new people talk at BSides! We would also like to specifically encourage people from underrepresented groups to submit a talk. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
The process for submitting is fairly straightforward – provide an abstract of your talk, give our reviewers a more detailed description ideally with an outline of the points you’re planning to cover, and send it to us using the links on this page.
Selection process
After the submission deadline is over, each submission gets reviewed by a subset of the Program Committee and rated according to criteria like technical depth, novelty, potential for creating interesting discussion, etc. When all ratings are in, the organizers and Program Committee members meet and pick the talks that made it to the top in most areas.
Tips for good submissions
- Make sure to respect the format
- No sales pitches or product reviews
- No demos or videos in your talk
- No AI generated content
- New or substantially different from already public material is a plus
- Make sure to put sufficient care, attention, and time into your submission. If it’s botched or unclear and we’re not able to properly evaluate it, we won’t accept it.
